Bono, le leader charismatique du groupe U2 prend les commandes du quotidien britannique The Tndependent pendant toute une journée ! La moitié des revenus tirés de l'édition du 16 mai ira au bénéfice du RED, programme lancé par Bono pour lutter contre l'avancée du sida en Afrique. Pour l'occasion, le quotidien met en avant des infos spéciales entièrement dédiées à l'Afrique, sans oublier les rubriques habituelles : sport, mode, santé ou politique... D'autres entreprises comme American Express, Gap ou encore Nike sont partenaires de l'association RED et récoltent des fonds grâce à la vente de leurs produits. Bono continue de se battre par tous les moyens pour les 25 millions d'individus séropositifs en Afrique.
